Virtual Tours to attract vistors to County Landmarks

Would love to see more options for interaction...such as twitter and facebook app on main page showing recent postings from fans of Oakgov.com. Also think it would be great to feature "Virtual tours" of places such as different County Parks, Historical places or just key places within the County that people visiting the area might be interested in visiting.

A picture and good description will have far more impact, in most peoples limited time frame online.

I would only view a virtual tour of some place I have no intention of ever visiting.

Tracy, You're suggestion to include social media on the County's homepage will be implemented in our upcoming redesign. We're also actively filming more videos to include throughout the web site. We've started on a few for County parks, including this one on Groveland Oaks http://www.oakgov.com/egov0016/video/ShowVideo.jsp?cmd=search&vid=156&category=Parks and Recreation=&search=&cycle=1&header=H&skin=S&ht=360&wd=640&playersize=&stretching=E&view=&feature=main&npage=1. Thanks again for your suggestions!

  4. A great idea and I like the video that is linked above. One correction however is that it is for Independence Oaks North (formerly called Upper Bushman area), not Groveland Oaks and this park area was officially dedicated yesterday (August 3, 2011). So even the video needs a little updating. Great job on the video and park.
